"For me, teaching Martial Arts is
not only my livelihood, but a way of
life. Having served 20 years in the
U.S. military, I have seen growth
and changes both positive and
negative. Children of today are
faced with a greater number of
problems when I was growing up.
Problems such as drugs, gangs,
violence, and illiteracy are among
my main concerns. As a parent I am
concerned and as a martial arts
instructor, I can be part of the
solution. Tang Soo Do's positive
direction has the ability to help a
student develop self-esteem,
integrity, and discipline."
